Puerto Rico Mission Trip – May 2-9, 2019

The eye of Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico on September 20, 2017 with devastating winds of 150 mph and flooding rains that resulted in the destruction of tens of thousands of homes.  They are just now beginning to recover to a more normal life but many families are without suitable homes. In combination with the Tomoka UMC in Ormond Beach, we will be going to Puerto Rico and working to help rebuild homes. The Puerto Rican UMC is sponsoring us and arranging for our work sites as well as our room and board.  We will also have some time in San Juan for sightseeing.

If you are interested in helping to serve on a short term mission in a part of our country that needs us badly, please call or email Bob Hammond (rbhdds@gmail.com. phone 386-316-7254).
