Emily Edwards
Director of Youth Ministries
Emily came to Coronado Community UMC as the Youth Director on July 1, 2010 from Tomoka UMC, Ormond Beach where she was the Director of Youth and Family Ministries since January of 2007. Emily is a graduate of Appalachian State University in North Carolina where she received her Bachelor degree in Sociology, Family Development and a minor in Religion. She also holds a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary, Orlando. Emily is currently serving as the treasurer of F.A.I.T.H. (Fighting Against Injustice Towards Harmony) as well as the co-chair of the F.A.I.T.H. Youth and Families Committee. Emily has a passion for missions and has led and participated in short term mission projects in Ethiopia, Russia, Mexico, Honduras, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Atlanta. Emily has been married to Stu Edwards for 6 years and they have a dog, Summer. Stu is a Math Specialist in the Academic Support Center at Daytona State College. Emily is excited to serve at Coronado Community UMC.
