Our guest speaker this morning was Rev. Clarke Campbell-Evan, who serves the FL Conference as Director of Mis-sional Engagement.
His role includes oversight of Global Missions, Disaster Recovery and Justice and Outreach min-istries, as well as supporting the local work of district superinten-dents. He says his life experiences, including being able to speak Spanish and English, helped prepare him for this position of lead-ing Missional Engagement, which includes service in the bishop’s cabinet.
He has said “The world around us has changed, and we must figure out how we are going to serve in this diverse world, One of the big questions is how ready are we as a conference to address this.”
Being in mission means “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
