Begun in 1970 as a community outreach ministry of Coronado Community United Methodist Church,CorMeth Day School has provided a high quality, early childhood education to three generations of children from our church and community. Click here for CorMeth Day School calendar.

CorMeth offers:

Full day programs, Monday through Friday, for children ages 2 - 4 years Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) for 4 year olds - three FREE hours per day  (funded by the Early Learning Coalition of Flagler & Volusia Counties). We serve school age children K-5 when the Volusia County Schools are closed.

Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack provided daily in a family style setting (children learn to serve themselves, pour drinks and sit together; they clean up their own dishes after eating)

Staff:

• All teachers & staff have passed level 2 background screening and completed training/education in     Early Childhood Development
• High teacher/child ratios in each classroom
  

Religious Instruction:                                                                                                                            

3 and 4 year olds attend Wednesday morning chapel, led by one of the pastors
Daily Bible stories and devotions in each classroom

Special Programs:

• Ballet each Monday
• Computer training two days a month
• Gymnastics each Wednesday
• Puppet show and Spanish lesson each Friday morning

Free Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten is available to all Florida four-year-olds. CorMeth Day School is an approved provider for this program.  \Your child must be four on or before September 1st of the school year, beginning in August of each year, to attend VPK.

CorMeth currently has two VPK classrooms with 18 children in each room.  For more information on Florida's VPK program, go to www.vpkflorida.org.
