Sermon:

Jesus says, “I am the Good Shepherd”. This is the third of Jesus’ “I am” statements in John’s gospel. Each refers to Jesus’ relationship to the Father. God is the “Great I AM”. Jesus comes to us as the human face of God. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep, as Jesus does, on the cross. Jesus says his sheep know his voice and follow him. Do we know his voice? How do we recognize his voice? Do we follow him? Whom do we follow?
