UNITED METHODIST WOMEN is open to all women interested in learning about and participating in the local and global missions of the church. The UMW provides financial support for many mission projects. They annually fill Easter baskets for Halifax Urban Ministries; assemble health kits for Church World Service; collect used eyeglasses and personal hygiene supplies for local distribution; provide men’s clothing from the CorMeth Boutique for the Bennett Veterans Nursing Home; and collect supplies for other missions. They also help assemble the weekly church bulletin and host the Fellowship Hour between Sunday services once a month.

The Purpose of the United Methodist Women:  “The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to now God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

The UMW Calendar: Various Circles meet throughout the month at different times and locations.

The United Methodist Women (General Board of Global Ministries) is the national website for the UMW and provides a multitude of news, resources and activities.
