UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH

The Coronado Community United Women in Faith (CCUWF) is a community of women dedicated to deepening faith, strengthening one another, and making a meaningful difference through service and advocacy. Together, we support

initiatives that uplift women, children, and youth, empowering them to thrive and live with hope and dignity.

OUR MISSION

We seek to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship, and education so that they can inspire, influence, and impact local and global communities.

OUR CIRCLES

Our unit is made up of two active Circles that meet regularly for fellowship, study, and service. Membership is open to all women — you do not need to be a

member of the church to join. Both Circles meet in Fellowship Hall at Coronado Community UMC from September to May. All Circle meetings are open to visitors.

We would love to have you visit us to check out the Circles and see what works best for you.

The Deborah Circle meets on the

3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 pm.

Deborah Circle is the largest group with monthly activities and speakers.

Our local unit of United Women in Faith, founded in 1908, has been an active and vital part of the community for more than a century.

What began as a small group of faithful women dedicated to mission and service continues today with the same spirit of commitment and compassion. With over 100 members, we are united in our dedication to mission, community engagement, and mutual care. We offer not only opportunities for service but also fellowship, encouragement, and support to one another as we grow in faith and friendship.

Affiliated with Coronado Community United Methodist Church in New Smyrna Beach, the women of our UWF unit have been united by purpose, compassion, and service for more than 117 years. Whether through hands-on outreach, fundraising, fellowship, or prayerful support, we continue to make a positive impact in our community and beyond. All are welcome to join us as we carry forward this legacy of faith, friendship, and service into the future.

Our entire group gathers twice a year and visitors are always welcome:

  • Mission Study and Coffee in the Spring
  • Welcome Back Lunch in the Fall

Our focus is on supporting local charities and ministries that make a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors. We proudly provide volunteer hours and

financial assistance to organizations including:

  • Boys and Girls Club
  • Chisholm and Read-Pattillo Elementary Schools
  • Colors of Hunger
  • Community Hot Meals
  • Gifts of Love
  • God’s Bathhouse
  • Halifax Urban Ministries’ New Smyrna Beach Food Pantry
  • Teens at Risk
  • Coronado Community United Methodist Church ministries

Through these partnerships, we help feed the hungry, support youth and families, and care for those in need—living out our mission of faith, hope, and love in action.

The United Women in Faith logo features a cross composed of multicolored pieces, symbolizing the organization's Christian roots and the diversity of its members, along with their commitment to spiritual and social justice work. The solid, modern, and bold typography signifies their power to advocate for their chosen causes. The colors—muted yellow, blue, orange, and green—represent forward-looking faith and the broad diversity within God's world.
